It is true that Australians have the second longest working hours in the OECD (the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), behind the USA.
Bahahaha..what a load of crap. goes to show how unreliable all these statistic can be.
out of curiousity, i did a bit of wiki on working hours. And these is what i found.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_time
The Kapauku people of Papua think it is bad luck to work two consecutive days. The !Kung Bushmen work just two-and-a-half days per week, rarely more than six hours per day. [20]
The work week in Samoa is approximately 30 hours[21], and though average annual Samoan cash income is relatively low, by some measures, the Samoan standard of living and quality of life are quite good.
now, THAT is where I wanna be…I work approximately 40 -45 hours a week currently and I find that tiring already. Life feels so monotonous. its like a repeating cycle that never ends.
You wake up in the morning, shower, eat breakie, work/school, home, do what ever, sleep.
Do that for 5 days on and 2 days off..over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again until one day you lay 6 feet under.
